Bloom Social for Good
At Bloom Social, we believe great work should do more than build brands. It should build community.
Bloom Social for Good is our commitment to the causes closest to our team's hearts. When you work with Bloom, you're not just partnering with a social media agency. You're helping us extend our impact to the communities and causes that matter most to the people behind our work.
Pillar 1
Rare Disease
Bloom Social founder Kirsten and her husband and Bloom Social co-owner Jeff welcomed their rainbow baby, Roy, in December 2023. He was unexpectedly born with a rare disease leaving the two feeling fearful, overwhelmed, and alone. Kirsten turned her pain into purpose. With Roy's diagnosis, he has visible and invisible abnormalities. One visible abnormality was a cyst on his left eye causing poor vision, resulting in him getting glasses at just five months old. When he got glasses, Kirsten did too. Although hers are fake, she wanted to look like him and know he was, and always will be, supported.
To support other families whose young kids are receiving glasses for the first time, Kirsten began making an annual donation of custom teddy bears with glasses to Roy's ophthalmologist at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. She personally sews the glasses onto each bear. Since 2024, she's donated 250 bears and counting.
At Roy's one-year genetics appointment, Kirsten asked his doctor if there was a rare disease support program through Corewell Health. There wasn't, so she asked if the doctor would partner with her to create one. Without hesitation, the doctor said absolutely. Kirsten spent all of 2025 building it, and at the end of the year, Corewell Health's Rarely Alone support program launched, connecting new rare disease families with volunteer seasoned rare disease families who truly understand their journey.
Kirsten also wrote a children's book inspired by Roy called Perfectly Rare, celebrating differences and encouraging love.

When you work with Bloom, you help Kirsten and Jeff keep supporting rare disease families in West Michigan and beyond.
Pillar 2
Grand Rapids Community
Giving back close to home is core to who we are. Our team regularly rolls up our sleeves to volunteer with organizations to help and strengthen our Grand Rapids community, including Kids' Food Basket and Grace's Table.

This is just the beginning. As Bloom Social grows, so does our list of community partners, and we're always looking for new ways to show up for the organizations doing meaningful work around us.
When you work with Bloom, you help us invest time and resources back into Grand Rapids.
Pillar 3
Ectopic Pregnancy Support
In 2022, Bloom Social founder Kirsten's world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy. It's a widely misunderstood and unspoken-about diagnosis, leaving many women completely unprepared and traumatized.
Kirsten searched desperately for a community dedicated to ectopic pregnancy advocacy, awareness, and support. She couldn't find one, so she created one: Ectopic Pregnancy Support.
This community has grown to nearly 6,500 followers across Instagram and Facebook. In 2025, Kirsten launched The Ectopic Pregnancy Support Podcast, where she interviews women willing to share their ectopic pregnancy stories to help others feel less alone. The podcast has reached over 11,000 downloads across 35 episodes.
When you work with Bloom, you help Kirsten support women who experience an ectopic pregnancy so they don't suffer in silence.
I've never done this volunteer advocacy work for recognition. I've done it because I couldn't not do it.
